Vacation Rentals and Destination Weddings

August 15th, 2017 9:19 am

Whether you’re an event planner, a couple looking to tie the knot or a proud parent of a bride- or groom-to-be, you know that planning a wedding can be time-consuming and stressful. That’s why many have opted for destination weddings instead of conventional weddings, as they’re simpler to plan, are more intimate, and allow the couple and their close friends and family to enjoy a slice of paradise as they celebrate the marriage in a way that blows away their local banquet hall. However, what many are unaware of is that villa rentals, which are often large sprawling estates with magnificent courtyards, are often the perfect venue for destination weddings.

Vacation rental owners, for their part, are often happy to accommodate weddings, although, as is normal, they may expect a slightly higher rental fee, as well as an additional security deposit. They may also be happy to provide you with local contacts for catering and entertainment, which will help you offer something truly unique to your guests. The kitchens of such places also tend to be large and fully-equipped, and are therefore fully capable of accommodating a professional cooking crew.

Also, the couple and even some of their close family can stay on the property, as these villas not only tend to have a plethora of bedrooms, but may even have guest houses on site as well. Best of all, these properties are usually beachfront estates or at the very least have very large gardens, meaning the happy couple will get an amazing and unique backdrop as they exchange their vows, which is sure to create one of those unique wedding experiences none of the guests are going to forget any time soon.

If you’re a couple, you may also want to consider visiting your local travel agent for destination wedding information, as most travel agents can happily accommodate this request and even get you and your guests volume discounts on airfare. If you’re an agent yourself, you already know this, but you may not know that you can consult Travel Rental Network for a database of rental properties that are willing to work with you on commission, including many that are wedding friendly.

A destination wedding is an amazing opportunity to celebrate one of life’s most important moments in a way that’s beautiful, unique and unforgettable, which is why it’s no surprise that they’ve become so popular. Having said that, you may want some help planning things out, which is why your travel agent might just become your wedding planner before you know it!

5 Simple and Effective Wedding Make Up Tips

July 10th, 2017 9:17 am

Wedding is one of the most important events in a woman’s life and every woman wishes to look her best on that special day. However, in most weddings the star of the event looks like an over decorated goddess idol! That is due to the overtly heavy and ghastly wedding make up.

On weddings, the bride and the bridegroom are the centre of attraction, especially for the camera lens and a bad and over done make up can end up the bride looking like a ghosts in the wedding video and photographs. Most people think that a dark, and 8 inches thick pan cake make up is ideal for a wedding as it wont lighten or come off soon and will last throughout the function for good hours. However, wedding make up should be such that it reflects the natural beauty of the bride enhances her beauty and gives her a blushing glow, perfect for a soon-to-be bride.

While organising your wedding dress, take equal pain in deciding your wedding make up well in advance. If you are appointing a professional make up artist for the special day, then take a dress and make up rehearsal before the wedding, to decide your over all look for the day. Decide the colour tone you will like, matching with your wedding dress and over all look. Even if you have appointed a make up professional that does not mean you cannot give your inputs or your part is over.

Following are few simple tips that can help you achieve that perfect bridal make up and glow on the D-day:

  1. Get a facial done a week or three days before your wedding. The real glow and effect of a facial comes after 3-4 days.
  2. Use a water proof and highly resistant lipstick. You will have to kiss a lot of people on your wedding, thus a non-resistant lipstick will soon fade off, leaving you with plain and dull lips. Apply two layers of lipstick with a brush and coat it with a lip balm for longer durability.
  3. Make sure that your lipstick, lip liner, eye liner and hair colour are well coordinated and in sync with each other.
  4. Apply foundation on dark areas like chin, neck, and jaw line and under eye area. These are areas that create shadows and make you look dark in photographs. Evenly coat all the area with foundation. Use waterproof foundation. If your wedding dress reveals your back, shoulders or belly then apply an even coat of foundation there too.
  5. Do not use pink tone blushers as they fade soon and may make you look pale in your wedding pictures. Use powder based blush for longer durability and resistance.

A bride naturally glows and blushes on her wedding day so do not rely heavily on make up and let your natural and inner beauty reflect on the big day!
